The Department of Education was started in the year 1981. And lead by Prof. B S Katageri in 1991 Education was one the minor subject the pattern was changed by the university in the year 1991 Education become one of the Three subjects of equal importance. Accordingly, Education subject become one of the Optional subjects in Social Science with four combination having 20 hours of work load per week. After the retirement of Prof. B.S. Katageri myself Shri S.S.Hugar is took the responsibility in 2003.
