HISTORY AND BACKGROUND OF THE DEPARTMENT :
- The Department of Sports and Physical Education is established in the year 1968
- Sri. C.G. Hiremath is a founding faculty till 1998
- After retirement of Sri. C.G. Hiremath the department till is handled by Guest faculties
- Sri. H.G. Patil is appointed in the year 2008 as permanent faculty for physical education department
